MPE Electronics is ending the year and preparing for 2020 on the front foot. We have had a very productive and successful 12 months and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

New business and new growth despite serious market headwinds
This year has not been without its challenges. We began 2019 still dealing with the impact of the global shortage of electronic components and we have had to endure another year in which the economy has been dogged by uncertainty surrounding the country’s membership of the European Union.
Despite these headwinds, we have continued to invest in our business and our clients, and to deliver the highest standards of service, which is testament to the way in which our company is run and the commitment to excellence that anchors our planning and operations management. As a result, we have won new business and grown existing customer relationships.
A new construction industry client
Looking back at 2019, a highlight was winning a major contract to produce construction industry safety equipment.
Our ability to secure this contract and seamlessly onboard the new customer is a nod to the advanced systems we have in place and the expertise at our disposal. Within six months of signing the contract, we processed the customer’s information, reduced their stock and transferred manufacturing from their previous supplier.
We are proud to add this new customer to our portfolio, which spans the industry spectrum, and are looking forward to building our relationship further in 2020.
MPE excellence helps to secure new contract with a key customer
The year ahead will also see us expand our relationship with one of our largest customers. The customer has significantly increased the scale of the contract that they have with us and a new two-year deal will keep us busy manufacturing a variety of PCB assemblies to be used in a range of industries.
We are delivering consistently high-quality products to the customer, displaying the flexibility to adapt to changes in demand and schedule, and helping them to reduce their manufacturing costs. This commitment has helped us win the new extended contract.
More investment and growth planned for 2020
As 2019 draws to a close, we are delighted to say that we have successfully completed the second part of our three-year growth plan. But we are not resting on our laurels. We are busy planning for 2020 and another exciting year of investment and growth.
